Smile of the Day

Life is getting much too serious, yes? Who doesn't need a daily smile?

The system

She used to label her homemade freezer meals carefully, in large clear letters, "Meatloaf" or "Pad Thai" or "Steak and Vegetables" or "Chicken Korma" or "Pot Roast". But when she asked her husband what he wanted for dinner, he never asked for any of those things. So she revised her labelling accordingly.

Now, in her freezer, are frozen homemade dinners with neat little tags that say, in large clear letters: "Whatever", "Anything", "I Don't Know", "I Don't Care", "Something Good", or "Food".

No matter what he replies when she asks him what he wants for dinner, it is there, waiting.

Glad you like!

(Sorry about the delay of response: July was intense. All I could do to keep up with this blog -- the others temp-fell by the wayside. One hopes to catch them up soon.)
