Smile of the Day

Life is getting much too serious, yes? Who doesn't need a daily smile?

Tuesday, June 5

A young man was pushing his son's carriage down the street, and was the youngster ever upset! Howls of outrage continued to drown out the father's steady, "Please, Michael, control yourself," and again, quietly, "Easy there, Michael, keep calm."

A passing woman smiled in sympathy and admiration: "You know just how to speak to infants, calmly and gently." Then, leaning over the carriage: "So the little fellow is named Michael?"

"No, ma'am," corrected the father. He is named George. I am Michael."
