### Two plus two

An engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician are asked to find the value of 2+2.

After three minutes of work with a slide rule, the engineer replies that the answer is precisely 3.9974.

After six hours of experiments, the physicist replies that the value is approximately 4.002 (with an error of plus-or-minus 0.005).

After a week of calculation, the mathematician says: "Well, I have not found an answer yet, but I can prove that an answer exists."
